The Opportunity 💭

Kaipātiki Sounds is a recently-established festival on the North Shore of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, creating opportunities for young musicians to connect with each other and showcase their talents to friends, whānau, and their communities. They needed a website to showcase their events to the community and partners, and to expand support for their annual programme.

What We Did 🪄

We worked with a talented emerging designer, Abbey Barlow, to create the Kaipātiki Sounds brand - a fresh, funky and playful representation of the festival’s spirit. We then applied the brand to a straightforward site, placing the fun typeface front and centre while communicating key information with clarity. The result is a colourful and easy-to-navigate digital home for Kaipātiki Sounds that enables them to easily add future events and content to their site.

What We’re Proudest Of 💛

We really enjoyed working with Abbey for this project - she’s an incredible designer, and really did nail the brief that we set in conjunction with the KS team! The brand really steals the show on this piece of work - we especially love the colours she chose, and the cute animation on the ‘Events’ page! Projects like this, where we can create something from scratch, are heaps of fun.
